If you are an Oakton student, links on this Web page will be accessible from your home computer. If you are asked for a login, ID or password, type in your Oakton Library/Student ID card 14 digit number that is printed on your library card.

Here's how to get your Oakton Library/Student ID card, which must be updated each semester:
In person:
please bring your current semester course schedule and a picture ID with verification of address (driver's license or state ID) to the Oakton Library circulation desk at the Des Plaines or Skokie campus to get your new Oakton Library/Student ID card. By phone/mail: please call the Oakton Library Public Services Specialist Marilyn Clay at (847) 635-1608 for more information. Have your “B” number and the course number available.
You can use your Oakton Library ID card to request and check out books and renew books. Your Oakton Library ID number also allows you to access "My Account" to see the list of books that you have checked out from the library. You can even use your Oakton Library ID card number to
__**borrow books from the other campus library**__ and to access many of the
__**Oakton Library online journal article databases**__ using off-campus computers.

· Full-text Articles in Magazines and Journals
__Many of the library's online indexes__ include the full text of articles in magazines and journals.
__Off campus access to the A-to-Z Title List, Title Searching and Subject Browsing__ also provides links to the journals that provide the full-text of their articles. A reference librarian can help you to use these lists and the library's online indexes. Call (847) 635-1644
